Competitions

There are four competitions during the club year, for prints and digital files in which points will accumulate toward CLUB AWARDS for each group. In addition, other opportunities may be provided by the club, for inter or intra club competitions. Further information is available in the Constitution which is currently under review.

Digital File competitions offer members an opportunity to compete in 3 classes (Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced). In each class there are three categories: Pictorial, Nature and Artistic Contemporary. Members may submit images in more than one category, but are limited to a total of three images per competition.

Prints are judged much like pictorial slides however there is emphasis on the quality of the print, its presentation (mounting and matting) tonal range, etc. Every Club member is eligible to submit two unframed entries per competition, in any combination, in the categories: Pictorial or Artistic Contemporary
