Digital Image Editing and Optimizing

Presenter: Peter Van Rhijn (MCC)

In this workshop Peter will give a brief introduction to the subject and then demonstrate live-on-screen the editing process of digital images through Photoshop, starting out with the Raw image file. The objective of editing in this workshop is not to make creative alterations but to demonstrate how to render images as you feel they should look.

Peter would prefer to use your images for this but he needs your (unedited) Raw Image file, paired with one competition-size Jpeg (which should demonstrate roughly what you had in mind for your image.)

Participants may submit their images during the Feb. 7 club meeting or during the Feb. 4 Image Critique Sig (which Peter is scheduled to run in David Clow's absence) via a USB flash drive. Images can also be submitted via Drop Box. For Instruction re: Drop Box submission, email Peter at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.  Peter will need your images no later than Feb. 9th.

Peter has been editing digital images since 1997 when he first launched his website www.naturephotos.com

He continues to edit images for submission to his stock agencies, for his weekly Facebook posts and for his website.
